Rooibos is a natural herb grown only in South Africa, being endemic to the Cederberg Region of the Western Cape province. Its leaves have been used traditionally by the locals to make a refreshing brew, which became known as Rooibos Tea. The name Rooibos (red bush) is derived from the reddish colour of the fermented leaves.

How to Prepare:
Hot Tea: Place 3 teabags in a teapot with 800 ml boiling water (for a single 250 ml serving use 1 teabag). Steep 5-10 min. Allow tea to cool.
For optimal results, preferably consume without milk, sugar or honey. Best enjoyed at 60°C.
Amount: 1 tea bag / 250ml
Water temp: 100C
Steep time. 3 - 5 minutes.
For iced tea: Double the amount, steep for the required time (or longer) and pour over ice cubes to chill
To ensure fully benefitting from the many rooibos health properties, preferably no milk, sugar or honey should be added. Best to enjoy at 65°C
